Discussion Questions:

What resonated most with you about this passage and teaching?

What are you grateful for right now?

What would you do today, if at the end of the day you knew you would die? If you knew the world would end tomorrow, what would you do?

What does it look like to live life in such a way that we engage the divine daily? To live in such a way that whatever we have planned for the day is exactly how we would live our last day because each day and moment are a gift from God?

What are your reactions/thoughts on this quote from Barbara Brown Taylor drawn from the story of Jacob in Genesis 33, “Earth is so thick with divine possibility, it is a wonder that we can walk anywhere without cracking our shins on altars.”

What does it look like for us to recognize God’s presence and gifts in each moment of each day?

In what ways do you hope to integrate elements of this text into your life this week?
