Teacher: Matt Krick

Series: Ecclesiastes - Does Life Hold Meaning?

Category: Peace

Discussion Questions:

What resonated most with you about this passage and teaching?

Which things listed in verses 2-8 do you like having time for? Which things would you rather there weren't time for? How might it be helpful to see both on this list?

Eccl 3:11 Amplified:

He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.

What do you think when you read: "God has planted eternity in our hearts"?

Matt said, "Something in us is timeless, living in a time-bound world." What is it like to exist in these two worlds at the same time?

What are some of the qualities of "eternity in our hearts"? How do we tap into that? What happens when we do?

Luke 17:20-21 "The kingdom of God is in your midst." (Amplified: "The kingdom of God is among you [because of My presence].”) What does this mean for us?

In what ways do you hope to integrate elements of this text into your life this week?
