What the Kingdom Looks Like

What the Kingdom Looks Like

Passage: Matthew 19:13-15

Teacher: Matt Krick

Series: 3 Years with Jesus: The Way of Resurrection

Discussion Questions:

What resonated most with you about this passage and teaching?

What are some ways to be like a child before God? Have you ever learned anything from a child, and if so what was it?

What are some tenets or verses you have passed on to the next generation? Or would like to pass on. When and how did you pass them on? On a road trip? At mealtimes? In the car?

Is there anyone in your life you have decided is not worthy of your time, that you’ve hindered from coming to you?

If you are a parent, are there things you have made more important in your family’s life than Jesus, like sports or theater or dance?

What could you trust God for that you don’t now?

We know that we are loved by God, but we sometimes feel we have to “do” something to earn his love. How might we know the difference between trying to earn God’s love and obeying what God has told you?

Children are largely powerless and dependent. How do you feel when you are before God and take a posture of powerlessness and dependence?

In what ways do you hope to integrate elements of this text into your life this week?
