This day marks the beginning of Lent, and Matt Krick will lead us through an Ash Wednesday service at Cedar House. All are welcome.

Dave will teach on how people are created in the image of God. God is eternal — vast. As we build relationships with other people, we find ourselves standing on the edge of the vastness of their lives — an infinite multitude of possibilities for growth, learning, development, and creativity.

Join us this Sunday as we look into the scripture and unpack this idea.

Barry Brown will be back with us today. Many of you had a very positive response when he spoke here back in June. We’re thrilled to welcome him again.

We’re accustomed to Jayne Kappesser’s strong and beautiful voice leading us in worship. Today we’ll hear her voice in a different way. She’ll be our speaker, bringing a message about two fascinating people mentioned in the gospel of Luke: Anna and Simeon. If you have time before Sunday, read Luke chapter two, especially verses 22 to 40.

Dave will be interviewing Daniel Ezell, who has been nominated to be on our Elder Board. We’ll hear a bit of Daniel’s story, and a message from both Dave and Daniel.

Join us today for Part Two of our message on the Magi, or wise men, who visited Jesus as a child. On the traditional church calendar, they are part of the celebration of Epiphany. Come hear Dave teach as he asks the question: What was the epiphany the Magi experienced? Can we experience it as well?

This week we’re back in Guzman Hall, ready to take on the new year! Come participate with us.
